The princess was not what one might find traditionally beautiful. She grew, losing the babyish roundness of a child's face, to have sharp, knifelike cheekbones. Her frame was lanky, skin and bones, with few curves to be found. It was her eyes that caught attention the most however for they were as gray and seemingly bottomless as darkened wellshafts. She was not unhealthy, but startling in contrast when looking to her plump father or her fairly golden mother, for she was not like either.
